The Inn at the Cape is at the tip of the Port au Port Peninsula, at the end of route 460. It is approximately halfway between the ferry terminal at Port au Basques and Gros Morne Park.

From the ferry terminal follow the Trans Canada Highway north to the turn off at 490. Highway 490 will take you to Stephenville where you join highway 460 and follow it all the way to the Cape. The time for this trip is between two and half and three hours.

If you fly in to Deer Lake, take the Trans Canada highway south past Corner Brook to the turn off at route 460. Follow 460 all the way to the end. The trip from Deer Lake to Cape St. George is approximately 2 and a half hours.

If you have entered the province through St. John's, you proceed to Stephenville and take the one hour trip out higway 460 to the Cape.

We strongly recommend you take the peninsula trip in daylight when you can enjoy the spectacular scenery. The road is paved, but is a scenic coastal drive with hills and curves that is best take at a moderate pace.
